Infinity Power Rankings: Infinity #6 (9th December 2013)

Every fortnight after the Infinity Monday show and PPV’s the power rankings of the top ten stars in Infinity will be posted here. The power rankings are based on a wrestler’s promo for the week, contributions to Infinity City, and of course the result of their match and the significance of the match they’re in.

1# James Jameson (+2)
The Copycat Kid did all in his power to dethrone Neal Powers as Purity Champions, and following the epic Purity match TCK’s harmony rivals, the Patron Saints, finally stood between TCK and a first title defence of his own. The four way match, also involving Jameson’s partner, Jordan Casanova, and a reborn Jamo, saw Jameson win in a match which personifies how quickly the face of the Purity division can change on each show. With Jameson pinning TCK after being speared by a championship hungry Jamo, Jameson became Infinity’s first dual champion, as his other Infinity character, Joey Harding, is one half of the Harmony Champions. And the kicker? It will be Harding, and not Jameson, who defends the big red shield against the Copycat at an Infinite Xmas.

2# Chris Michaels (Non-Mover)
At Infinity #5, surrounded with concussion troubles, Chris watched partner Adrian take a beating from their opponents (Taylor Westfall and Murray Muir) for much of the bout but not only was he the determining factor in victory he delivered a Legendary Kick to Adrian after the contest had finished. Following a fierce warning to the World Champion the next opponent was none other than Neal Powers. Now aligned with the BZN, Neal sought Chris because of the Blood Family’s despise of the BZN, and the two battled to a grinding halt, with the match being determined a ‘no contest’ after Neal struck the concussion-recovering champ with the ring bell, leaving the Singularity floored. With Neal standing tall and the outcome a deserved draw, Chris remains rooted in second place, and for his efforts, is now placed above the World Champion himself, Adrian Flynn.

3# Neal Powers (+2)
After losing the Purity Championship to TCK, one pinfall away from rightfully earning a World Championship match against Adrian Flynn, many wondered if Neal had the character to bounce back after his first ever defeat. A phenomenal match with TCK was followed up with an equally awesome match with the Singularis Champion, Chris Michaels. Neal and Chris battled back and forth until Neal used the ring keeper’s bell to smash it over Chris’s head. The No Disqualification match just ended with no clear winner or loser, meaning a no contest was issued. Neal stood strong, proving his critics wrong that he can’t stand with the big boys. Never has the Blood Family looked as strong, especially with Adrian Flynn in their radar. Next up for Neal is a third straight epic, as he goes one on one with BZN’s own Mr. Osman inside the Steel Cage. Infinity’s first ever cage match!

#4 Adrian Flynn (-3)
Infinity’s World Champion wasn’t at Infinity #6, and it proves in this batch of rankings. One week out of the game after a vicious attack at his high school, Infinity Central, sees #SuperChamp drop three places to fourth, dropping below three worthy title contenders.. With Flynn out of An Infinite Xmas this will potentially see a further plummet, and many wonder why Adrian would want to show his face right now giving his first opponent for the World Championship is Neal Powers, the man who orchestrated a championship match after stealing the Purity belt from TCK at Infinity #5. Flynn’s future has been laid bare, and the Blood Family awaits, as does the mystery surrounding his attacker.

5# The Copycat Kid (-2)
Victory over Neal Powers for the Purity Championship was another reminder of the Copycat’s obvious in-ring talents and his abilities to mimic even the greatest opponents on offer. The COO had his talents tested against the Patron Saints and newly aligned Jamo, with the Grimm Reaper siding with the COO, and in a short and unpredictable encounter James Jameson shocked the Infinity Arena when he turned the Purity division on its head, becoming its fourth champion. With TCK’s short reign his first sign of weakness, the Copycat’s downfall came via a decimating spear from Jamo, which eventually led to Jameson capitalising on the situation and covering an unmoving COO. Still impersonating Murray Muir, his statement of infinite possibilities against Mr. Osman and the BZN, the Copycat slides down two places in the Power Rankings but fans of the illusive TCK needn’t worry. In an unprecedented move, TCK has sanctioned a rematch for the big red shield, something that has never happened with the belt before.

6# Murray Muir (-1)
An apparent union with Taylor Westfall could not stop Murray Muir falling another place into sixth in these power rankings. The duo lost to Matt Rydell and Roderick Blackmore, in a match that they once again dominated. The problem once again was their ability to close out the match, which led Taylor’s top rope antics to a jaw-breaking moment which ended in Westfall meeting Roderick’s metal gauntlet face first. With Murray on the decline, but not having been pinned in either Harmony contest, the rebel has been granted a Singularis Championship match against Chris Michaels at an Infinite Xmas, where he will hope to win his first championship in Infinity Wrestling.

7# Matt Rydell (+1)
“Bad Boy” Brandon Kheller, Matt Rydell’s harshest critic, has pointed to a lack of consistency with “The New Dawn” thus far in Infinity. Since it was known that Matt was fully responsible for his own actions at Immortalis, leaving via darkness and throwing away the chance at being Purity Champion all because he doesn’t want to be a puppet champion, Rydell has scored two straight victories. First over Spike Daniels, and second over Taylor Westfall and Murray Muir, teaming with Roderick Blackmore, Infinity’s Chairman and the man who is arguably responsible for spiralling Matt’s popularity in the city out of control. After Rydell his the New Dawn on Westfall and ensured victory, Roderick presented Matt with a simple black mask, a symbol that Matt can’t run from his obvious talents but he can frustrate and send a message to the city’s companies that he’s not their poster boy.

8# Roderick Blackmore (New Entry)
Infinity’s Chairman marks his power rankings debut after teaming with Matt Rydell and helping “The New Dawn” to victory over Taylor Westfall and Murray Muir. Roderick wasn’t involved a lot in the match but was instrumental in the finish as he completely decked Westfall with the silver chrome gauntlet the CEO wears. Roderick’s gift to Matt, a simple black mask, is a gesture to say sorry to Matt for forcing the city’s vast economic moguls and promoters down Rydell’s throat.

9# Jamo (-1)
Aiding TCK in his victory over Neal Powers at Infinity #5, the ‘Grimm Reaper’ saw his loyalty with TCK rewarded in the form of a Purity Championship match. Jamo has yet to be pinned or submitted in Infinity Wrestling, and that streak continued when TCK was pinned by James Jameson, the new Purity Champion. The Hardcore Icon’s full potential has yet to be unearthed and given recent form, it’s only a matter of time before Jamo scores another victory on his amazing Infinity record.

10# Leo Stanton (New Entry)
In a questionable debut Leo Stanton professed his hatred of the city, in a similar tone that has the likes of Jordan Casanova and Jason Smith raising their eyebrows rather cautiously. BZN’s personal contracted wrestler made short work of other debutant Kellen Koufous, after BZN employees and Stanton beat down on Koufous in the backstage area before the match. Leo has shown great promise and victory ensures that he narrowly pips Craig Anderson to the tenth place spot on these rankings.

Falling out of the Power Rankings!

Lucian Shannon (previous, 9th)
A week of inactivity means by default the Shiner drops out of the Infinity power rankings. After defeating Jamo in a Mirrors Match, Lucian re-joined the top ten for the first time since Infinity #1 when he made it to the semi-finals of the World Championship tournament. Not a part of An Infinite Xmas, Lucian has promised a return at Infinity #7 heading into Purgatorium.

Craig Anderson (previous, 10th)
Showing off his new possession, the WEW Championship, Craig Anderson was in buoyant mood heading into his encounter with Spike Daniels. In an odd encounter, Spike, who has professed his friendship to Craig, held onto Craig when outside of the ring causing a double DQ. Spike claims that the result was ‘for the best of the team’, hinting that he wants to be Craig’s partner against the Patron Saints in the future. Jamo ensured that both Spike and Craig’s night ended on a sour note after taking out Spike and sending a clear message to The Exception that he should be his partner.

Infinity Power Rankings: Infinity #5 (18th November 2013)

Every fortnight after the Infinity Monday show and PPV’s the power rankings of the top ten stars in Infinity will be posted here. The power rankings are based on a wrestler’s promo for the week, contributions to Infinity City, and of course the result of their match and the significance of the match they’re in.

#1 Adrian Flynn (Non-Mover)
Infinity’s World Champion retained his alpha status in the City after he and “The Master of Execution” Chris Michaels, the Singularis Champion, defeated the duo of Taylor Westfall and Murray Muir in a fantastic Harmony rules tag match. The night wasn’t a complete success for Adrian, who for the most part was on the wrong end of a beating from the ruthless foes that spared no expense in sending a message to the Infinity Wrestling Federation. After the match had finished Chris Michaels hit Adrian with the aptly put Legendary Kick, a stiff warning to the champ that the road that lay ahead is thwart with peril and danger.

2# Chris Michaels (+1)
After winning the risk or reward based Singularis Championship at Immortalis Chris Michaels finally started climbing the power rankings. After lingering at the bottom half of the rankings Chris has seen his stock rise greatly after Infinity #5. He and Adrian scored a victory over Murray Muir and Taylor Westfall, and it was the ‘Master of Execution’ who scored the pinfall over Westfall. Even though Chris is surrounded with concussion troubles he watched Adrian take a beating from their opponents for much of the bout but not only was he the determining factor in victory he delivered a Legendary Kick to Adrian after the contest had finished. A warning that the World Champion is going to have to watch anybody and everybody.

3# Joey Harding / James Jameson (+1)
Fortune favours the brave. That statement would be true in most cases for a champion, but not for James Jameson. Victorious in his match over Blair Holmes by count-out, a familiar sight with Jameson in Infinity, one half of the Harmony Champions, the man who carried the belt on this particular edition of Infinity watched as Blair said ‘sorry’ to his own partner John Charismatic, before walking out on Jameson and his match. This is now two matches in a row that Jameson has won via his opponents not turning up. Nevertheless the stock of the Harmony champ rises as he soars into an all-time high in the power rankings. The Agency and partner J-Cas will be proud!

4# The Copycat Kid (+3)
Very few in the city believed Neal Powers could be defeated, and on the all-important night that could have sealed Neal’s legacy as the first Purity Champion to win five consecutive matches with the big red shield, it took a mammoth effort from Infinity’s COO, The Copycat Kid, to dethrone Neal. After winning an Infinity Polling Police poll to name Infinity’s head referee, TCK’s pick, the incompetent Telis Reye presided over the match and turned his back when Neal was about to secure victory, which proved vital for TCK who used this advantage to pin the shoulders of the Blood Family’s leader for three short, and crucial seconds. TCK’s victory rounds off the top four champions elite and now people must be thinking: What is going to take to stop TCK?

5# Neal Powers (-3)
“The Influence” retained his Purity Championship, and topping off his victory for the big red shield all the way back at Infinity #2 against Matt Rydell, Neal has won all four matches in Infinity Wrestling, with Immortalis proving to be no different. However his big moment arrived at Infinity #5, against his biggest challenger yet in TCK. To the surprise of the city the Blood Family’s head honcho, who debuted Sin and Havok to prevent TCK from winning by any cost found himself on the losing side for the very first time. All he needed to do to cash in the Purity title for a match with Adrian Flynn and the World Championship was to stop the Copycat but the addition of Telis Reye, Infinity’s new head referee and the man beloved by the city, Jamo, decided this contest. Neal drops three places, but in one last act on Infinity, he took the Purity Championship with him, a message to TCK that this is far from over.

6# Murray Muir (-1)
Can Murray Muir catch a break against Adrian Flynn? The rebellious Muir threw all he could at Flynn at Infinity #5 but could not keep the World Champion down. Teaming with Taylor Westfall the duo found themselves on the losing end, and for Murray this acts as a second straight defeat after being Copycatted by TCK at Immortalis. Murray falls one place in the rankings, an all-time low for the man from Halifax, Canada.

7# Matt Rydell (+2)
The city’s most popular man was once again in action, this time against a special guest. As his opponent revealed himself to be Spike Daniels, a formidable wrestler who made his trade on the Bebo Wrestling scene, Rydell was victorious after hitting the New Dawn onto a never-looked-better Spike. After the match, just like at Immortalis, Rydell vanished into darkness. #FuckRydell rises two places in this week’s rankings.

8# Jamo (-2)
If Jamo’s last actions on Infinity #5 were his only actions on the show, he’d have risen in the table. Aiding TCK in his victory over Neal Powers, the ‘Grimm Reaper’ started the night by losing to a returning Lucian Shannon in a Mirrors Match. Jamo has yet to be pinned or submitted in Infinity Wrestling but this defeat against Lucian is a sign perhaps the Hardcore Icon can be beat. Jamo falls two places in the table but left an everlasting impression on the show.

9# Lucian Shannon (New Entry)
Back from the dead. City folk had written off Lucian Shannon after Infinity #3, his last appearance in Infinity Wrestling, a submission defeat against Jamo in Harmony action. Not only did Lucian get revenge for his past defeat, he now has the honours of saying he was the first man to score a victory over Jamo in Infinity’s first ever Mirrors Match. Jamo’s first ever loss on the BZN. Lucian is now only one place behind the monster he beat and now sets his sights higher in Infinity.

10# Craig Anderson (New Entry)
Craig got his first victory in Infinity Wrestling via count-out against the no-showing duo of Jordan Casanova and Joey Tierney. Anderson was by no means happy by the manner of his victory and promised that he would find a partner capable of dethroning the Harmony Champions in the future. After his match TCK proposed that Craig should dream big and aim to employ the services of the likes of A.C. Mack and Roderick Blackmore in his quest against the Patron Saints. His first win means he occupies the last spot in the rankings.

_______________________________

Falling out of the Power Rankings!

A.C. Mack (previous, 8th)
After a remarkable victory over Roderick Blackmore, the man that revealed the World Championship drops out of the power rankings due to not appearing on the broadcast. Mack’s ‘Black Band’ clothing label was given a first glance and is there potential that he could team with Craig Anderson? We’ve seen crazier things happen, haven’t we?

Taylor Westfall (previous, 10th)
The professional wrestling icon and Scottish hero teamed with Murray Muir for the first ever time but after two straight defeats, the first against Adrian Flynn at Immortalis for the World Championship, then with Murray against Chris Michaels and Flynn, Taylor’s fortunes in the power rankings have come to an end. Quite literally the only way for Taylor is up.

Infinity Power Rankings: Infinity Immortalis (14th October 2013)

Every fortnight after the Infinity Monday show and PPV’s the power rankings of the top ten stars in Infinity will be posted here. The power rankings are based on a wrestler’s promo for the week, contributions to Infinity City, and of course the result of their match and the significance of the match they’re in.

#1 Adrian Flynn (+3)
He did it. Infinity’s resident hero became the first ever Infinity World Champion with victory over Taylor Westfall in the finals of the tournament. Adrian’s road to the final was thwart with the most testing of opponents; Chris Michaels, Murray Muir, and lastly at Immortalis, “The Side Effect” Taylor Westfall. Flynn beat them all to be crowned the first world champion and now he is the symbol of the city, carrying the championship of infinite possibilities. For these reasons alone, and more, Adrian occupies top spot in this post Immortalis power rankings.

2# Neal Powers (Non-Mover)
For a third consecutive match “The Influence” retained his Purity Championship, and topping off his victory for the big red shield all the way back at Infinity #2 against Matt Rydell, Neal has won all four matches in Infinity Wrestling, with Immortalis proving to be no different. Squared up against the city’s favourite, Matt Rydell, and the constantly improving Craig Anderson, Powers was up to his old tricks again as Matt Rydell vanished at the close of the Purity match. With the City left questioning Rydell’s whereabouts Powers capitalised on opportunity to retain the title, even after Panik had forcefully been ejected from the ringside area. If Neal wins his Purity Championship match at the next Infinity Wrestling show, he has the option of cashing the championship in for a shot at Adrian Flynn’s World Championship.

3# Chris Michaels (+3)
Little did we all know but Chris Michaels was hiding a life threatening secret that could have ended his life at Immortalis. Faced with Jamo and Joey Tierney in a TLC match the match which was supposed to feature Jason Smith quickly turned to chaos as the mystery attackers jumped Smith again, rendering his participation in the match firmly over. Faced with the icon and the rock god, Michaels overcame both in a fast and furious match but when Joey Tierney used his favoured kendo sticks against the “Master of Execution” Chris seemingly retriggered a state of concussion. In his last act Chris was able to climb the ladder and retrieve the Singularis Championship to become its first holder, and with a championship based around sacrifice we are left wondering, who paid the bigger sacrifice? Chris’s title win ensures that he is Infinity’s first Singularity, a man who defies all for the sake of the silver of Singularis.

4# Joey Harding (New Entry)
Making his debut at Immortalis the man who doesn’t do TV, Joey Harding was the main figurehead in his team Harmony Championship victory over the absent duo of Over Rated. On the night (well technically a week before) Harding produced a spectacular promo that meant he and his tag team partner Jordan Casanova became the first Harmony Champion. After TCK called a count-out against Over Rated Harding and his Fair City Hooligan attacked the COO in order to reveal the belts themselves but were left bemused as there was only one Harmony Championship. One belt to signify the ultimate union of two fellow wrestlers. Harding’s place at number four is well deserved, though he would have liked his opposition to have been a lot more ‘in the flesh’.

5# Murray Muir (-4)
Pitted against TCK by the BZN President Mr. Osman, Murray Muir lost to the Copycat in an all-out fight across Evermore Stadium. Murray produced an amazing promo for the show but was ultimately undone against a foe who acted like Murray and essentially became Murray. Despite this loss Murray is still the top rated wrestler without a championship and can take away that TCK showed loyalty to his fellow roster and not the BZN President.

6# Jamo (-3)
“The Grimm Reaper” finally has a big ‘L’ against his impressive record after he failed to win the TLC match for the Singularis Championship. Jamo gave the fight of his life but was tangled in the main ladder in play via Joey Tierney’s kendo sticks. Jamo’s true class shone through after the match when he helped an unconscious Chris Michaels into an ambulance. Jamo may not have been crowned champion, but he really is a true champion. An icon that Infinity City can eternally be proud of.

7# TCK (New Entry)
Lucky number seven strikes again with another new entry, this time Infinity’s COO TCK made his way onto the top ten after a victory over Murray Muir at Immortalis. In a show of defiance against BZN President Mr. Osman, TCK showed the world that Murray was his symbol of Infinity and has a place in the company. TCK produced an amazing promo against Murray, one of, if not the top talent on the entire roster.

8# A.C. Mack (New Entry)
In a match ‘Under the Dome’, Roderick Blackmore and number eight’s new entry A.C. Mack showed the City how to debut in style. Faced up against Roderick’s unbreakable silver chromed gauntlet, in the dome of Blackmore’s creation, movie star Mack proved his Macknifience after two years away from the game with victory over Infinity’s Chairman. Not only did A.C. Mack eventually prosper, though his shattered face tells another story, Mack also revealed the Infinity World Championship, making Roderick look on at the immortalising moment in the latest of his most sinister creations.

9# Matt Rydell (-1)
#FuckRydell, the first number one on these power rankings, is holding onto his place in the top ten with dear life. With his current whereabouts unknown after his mysterious vanishing at Immortalis, Rydell was unable to reclaim his title from the grasp of the Blood Family. Rydell drops down one place but remains in the top ten due to a very good shoot style promo.

10# Taylor Westfall (-5)
On the verge of becoming Infinity World Champion so many times in his title match against Adrian Flynn, this week’ tenth place is reserved for the man who was close to become champion himself. Dropping down five spots Taylor produced an admirable and very personal promo but was inevitably undone against the DDT heard around the world. Word is Taylor will continue to look into the conspiracy surrounding Adrian Flynn becoming a ‘corporate champion’, will that be needed to pull “The Side Effect” up in the rankings? We hope so.

_______________________________

Falling out of the Power Rankings!

Joey Tierney (previous, 7th)
Infinity’s rock star, Joey Tierney, was the show stealer in the Singularis Championship match but moments away from victory was thrown out of the ring by a desperate and unknowing Chris Michaels. Joey sacrificed his full time contract with Infinity Wrestling and will re-enter contract negotiations with the Infinity Wrestling Federation. Joey may have dropped out, but his inclusion at this bottom section will act purely as testament to his improvements and prior victories leading up to Immortalis.

Over Rated (previous, 9th)
The Dirtsheet will be left reeling after their in-depth article at Over Rated may never be solved. JC and Blair, commonly known as Over Rated didn’t show at Immortalis and have since been removed as an active tag team on the Infinity website. Is this a sign they’ve broken up for good? Will we see either back in Infinity? Either way, mystery surrounds Over Rated but as Harding and Casanova picked up the single blue strap Over Rated fall out of the running for this power rankings.

C. Anderson (previous, 10th)
Producing a classy and strong shoot style promo, Craig Anderson’s efforts eventually lost out on this occasion to Neal Powers, leaving Anderson with a four match losing streak. We’re hoping Craig gets his big break soon, he deserves it for his vast improvements in Infinity as a writer and competitor. He’s to the future, and the now, and a birthday boy this coming week!

Infinity Power Rankings: Infinity #4 (23rd September 2013)

Every fortnight after the Infinity Monday show the power rankings of the top ten stars in Infinity will be posted here. The power rankings are based on a wrestler’s promo for the week, contributions to Infinity City, and of course the result of their match and the significance of the match they’re in.

#1 Murray Muir (+1)
Infinity’s resident rebel made great strides at Infinity #4 when he emerged victorious from the epic triple threat match involving himself, John Charismatic and Chris Michaels. Later on in the night Muir goaded Taylor Westfall into causing a no-contest in the brilliant match between TCK and Adrian Flynn. The purple-eyed wrestler and cult favourite has let Mr. Osman that he’s an immovable object in Infinity Wrestling.

2# Neal Powers (-1)
“The Influence” retained his Purity Championship against Craig Anderson at Infinity #4 but Neal didn’t get a single shot in against the young and hungry “Exception”. The victory came courtesy of Panik who hen the referee was momentarily knocked out, used the signature baseball bat of Powers against his own blood brother. Panik then framed Anderson as the perpetrator and won via Disqualification in the process. At Immortalis Neal defends the Purity Championship against both Craig Anderson and Matt Rydell.

3# Jamo (+1)
Jamo picked up a fourth straight victory after a Disqualification victory over Starkiss. The kiss-blowing wrestler didn't make it to the show following a suspension which meant Jamo was on course for a count-out victory until he was attacked by Joey Tierney. Nevertheless a fourth victory propels Jamo to his highest ever position on the top ten.

4# Adrian Flynn (-1)
Infinity’s superhero drops for a second consecutive power rankings due to Jamo’s fourth straight victory and because he was unable to defeat TCK is an unforgettable match. The man who faces Taylor Westfall at Immortalis founds himself on a scorching attack by his world title rival to cause a no-contest in his match with the Copycat.

5# Taylor Westfall (+4)
“The Side Effect” is this power rankings biggest mover, rising four places in the rankings after his victory of Matt Rydell at Infinity #4. Westfall was later goaded into attacking the duo of TCK and rival Adrian Flynn by Murray Muir and Taylor made his intentions known. Management might have already pegged Adrian as their choice for World Champion and he’ll do anything to prove the city wrong.

6# Chris Michaels (-1)
The standout favourite to win the Singularis Championship at Immortalis suffered a second defeat in Infinity Wrestling as Murray Muir prevailed in the epic triple threat. Michaels might not have been pinned but by the sheer admission that Chris was not victorious, he falls one place in these rankings.

7# Joey Tierney (New Entry)
Lucky number seven strikes again as another new entry enters at number seven. This week’s seventh place riser is Joey Tierney, who not only had his defeat against Starkiss and Jamo overturned due to Starkiss breaching his contract in Infinity Wrestling during Infinity #3, but he picked up a consolatory victory over Jason Smith. The rat king Smith was attacked by the mysterious attackers who have Jack Anderson all riled up and did not show, resulting in an easy victory for Tierney. “The Fusion” was not done there though, he brought the fight to Jamo later on in the night, stating his claim for the Singularis Championship at Immortalis.

8# Matt Rydell (-2)
“The New Dawn” didn’t have it all his way, to the dismay of the city, after he found himself on the wrong end of the V Club led by Taylor Westfall. The old rivals on the Bebo Wrestling Network (BWN) reignited their rivalry and it was Westfall was stood out victorious. This will surely act as a warning for Rydell, who will contend for the Purity Championship at Immortalis against reigning champion Neal Powers and Craig Anderson.

9# Over Rated (-1)
The duo of Blair Holmes and John Charismatic both suffered defeats at Infinity #4. Blair Holmes, despite a valiant effort, was defeated by Jordan Casanova, who picked up his first ever singles victory, whilst JC was the individual pinned by Murray Muir in the epic triple threat. With the question of their union up in their air, is TCK right? Is there no harmony between Over Rated? We will all find out at Immortalis when Over Rated do battle against Casanova and the debuting Joey Harding.

10# Craig Anderson (New Entry)
The newly dubbed “Exception” showed why he’s a class above the rest after taking Purity Champion Neal Powers to the limit at Infinity #4. Cheered on by his supportive wife, Jessica, Anderson was fingertips away from claiming the belt from his own, not allowing Powers a single piece of offense in the match, but was ultimately undone by Panik who hit Neal with Powers’s signature baseball bat and framed Anderson for the attack.

Falling out of the Power Rankings!

Starkiss (previous, 10th)
At Infinity #4 COO The Copycat Kid announced that Starkiss has been suspended for violations in his Infinity Wrestling contract and as a result did not appear to face rival Jamo in a rematch from Infinity #2. What it means for the rankings is that the kiss-blowing wrestler falls out of the rankings.

James Jameson (previous, 7th)
The Television star falls out of the rankings because he didn’t compete at Infinity #4. It’s not all bad news for Jameson, his wish came true when Casanova picked to team with him at Immortalis against Over Rated for the Harmony Championships.

Infinity Power Rankings: Infinity #3 (2nd September 2013)

Every fortnight after the Infinity Monday show the power rankings of the top ten stars in Infinity will be posted here. The power rankings are based on a wrestler’s promo for the week, contributions to Infinity City, and of course the result of their match and the significance of the match they’re in.

#1 Neal Powers (+2)
“The Influence” won the Purity Championship at Infinity #2 defeating Matt Rydell and at Infinity #3 became the first wrestler to successfully defend a championship belt after defeating Matt Young in the main event. The Blood Family rises two places to top spot and next up for Powers is Craig Anderson in the main event of Infinity #4.

2# Murray Muir (+2)
Muir rises in the ranks up two second spot after an excellent promo and a solid performance as he and Jack Anderson defeated the debuting wrestlers Jett Underwood and Rick Bowman. The only thing left to know are Muir's plans for Immortalis.

3# Adrian Flynn (-2)
Due to the technicality of one of the number one contenders for the Infinity Championship not competing, Flynn drops two spots in the power rankings but will look to reclaim top spot at Infinity #4, but with Flynn not in a match, how will things transpire for the high school teacher?

4# Jamo (+1)
First “The Grimm Reaper” got a submission victory over Typhon “Kid Wicked” Kaos, and then this past Monday he made his second victim, debutant Starkiss, tap-out in a Singularis Championship qualifier to retain the use of his Cloverleaf Pain Submission, and thirdly this past Infinity Jamo scored another victory when he made Lucian Shannon tap out in a tag team match where the “Hardcore Icon” teamed with rival Starkiss. With a third straight win, Jamo rises yet another place in the rankings! Can anyone derail Jamo’s epic momentum? Starkiss has this opportunity at Infinity #4 when the two have a rematch from Infinity #2.

5# Chris Michaels (+3)
After a debut defeat against Adrian Flynn, “The Master of Execution” obtained victory for a second time in a row during Infinity on September 2nd Monday when he team with James Jameson defeating Over Rated. Michaels scored the victory over Charismatic after hitting the Legendary Kick to the Charismatic Coliseum owner.

6# Matt Rydell (+1)
As the lone promo writer in his tag team match Rydell secured victory for his volatile and unworkable team with Jordan Casanova, defeating Jason Smith and Typhon Kaos via DQ. The night didn’t go great for Rydell though, with the win coming at the expense of Rydell’s physical wellbeing following a brutal attack from Casanova and Brian Von-Malice.

7# James Jameson (New Entry)
Suffering two defeats in his first two bouts in Infinity, James Jameson finally rose to the occasion as he and wildcard pairing Chris Michaels defeated Over Rated in a fantastic tag team bout worthy of the Harmony division! Jameson climbs to his highest ranking in the power rankings so far.

8# Team Over Rated (-6 JC, +1 Holmes)
As the only official tag team in Infinity (the status of Jameson and Casanova as a team at the time of writing is still not ‘official), Over Rated suffered a clean loss this past Infinity after Charismatic was pinned after being finished with the Legendary Kick of Chris Michaels. Blair rises one place after an impressive promo to unite Over Rated on the power rankings, and they will look to soar up the rankings after Immortalis where they will battle for the Harmony Championship!

9# Taylor Westfall (-3)
Like with Immortalis opponent Adrian Flynn, Taylor Westfall did not make an appearance on Infinity #3 which means he drops down the rankings due to non-involvement. With Matt Rydell standing in his way at Infinity #4, can Westfall climb the table before his epic main event with Flynn for the Infinity Championship?

10# Starkiss (New Entry)
The kiss-loving wrestler makes his debut on the power rankings after he and Jamo were victorious over Joey Tierney and Lucian Shannon. At the finish of the match Starkiss had to watch Jamo apply the Cloverleaf submission on Lucian, a bitter pill to swallow. Starkiss left the Infinity fans confused after he refused to shake Jamo’s hand but blew a kiss his way instead. Can Starkiss be the first to defeat “The Grimm Reaper” at Infinity #4?

_______________________________

Falling out of the Power Rankings!

Jason Smith & Joey Tierney (previous, joint 10th)
After a draw on their debut in a Tables match both were positioned at the number ten spot for the second power rankings, however due to both men losing in their tag team matches they both fall out of the top ten. Tierney was unfortunate after Lucian Shannon failed to promo but made amends after staving off an attack on the night by Smith. The two will have a rematch on Infinity #4 in IWF’s first ever No Disqualification match!

Infinity Power Rankings: Infinity #2 (19th August 2013)

Every fortnight after the Infinity Monday show the power rankings of the top ten stars in Infinity will be posted here. The power rankings are based on a wrestler’s promo for the week, contributions to Infinity City, and of course the result of their match and the significance of the match they’re in.

The second power rankings are based on the results from the 2nd Infinity Mondays broadcast that took place on  August 19th 2013.

#1 Adrian Flynn (+1)
A second week of Infinity sees a new number one on the power rankings. This fortnight’s top spot goes to Adrian Flynn after making his way to the Infinity Championship final at Immortalis. On his way to the final Flynn beat Chris Michaels, and this week defeated Murray Muir. The high school teacher will now face Taylor Westfall for the championship on pay-per-view.

2# John Charismatic (+3)
Despite not being in TCK’s good books John Charismatic was the backbone of Team Over Rated in their disqualification victory over Jordan Casanova and James Jameson. A second successive victory propels JC into second place.

3# Neal Powers (New Entry)
Powers was gifted championship opportunity after having his Infinity City creation, Jon Harrington, the new Infinity Ring Announcer, voted into the federation. With Infinity’s first champion Matt Rydell defending his title for the first time “The Influence” capitalised on his opportunity for gold with victory in his debut match. Neal captured the Purity title, albeit after spitting a broken blood capsule in Matt Rydell’s face, setting up the finish. Neal’s first defence is against Matt Young on Infinity #3.

4# Murray Muir (-1)
Despite losing against Adrian Flynn in the world championship semi-finals, Muir produced an excellent promo and pushed his foe all the way to the limit. After the match Muir reasserted why he has no redeeming qualities as a human being by spitting on his hands before shaking Adrian Flynn’s hand.

5# Jamo (+1)
First “The Grimm Reaper” got a submission victory over Typhon “Kid Wicked” Kaos, and then this past Monday he made his second victim, debutant Starkiss, tap-out in a Singularis Championship qualifier to retain the use of his Cloverleaf Pain Submission. Jamo is proving to be a force to be reckoned with, so moves up to 5th this week. Next week in the Harmony, tag team week Jamo will now team with Starkiss, so expect sparks to fly between the duo as Jamo seeks qualification for a second championship!

6# Taylor Westfall (+1)
You’d think a finalist in the Infinity Championship tournament would be higher in the power rankings, right? After Jack Anderson’s attack left him earning an easy count-out victory in the quarter finals, this past Monday, Westfall defeated Lucian Shannon in a hard fought win. The problem is Lucian failed to promo for the event meaning Westfall is in the final without opposition. If both Anderson and Shannon had promo’d for their respective matches Westfall would be higher. Nevertheless though, a second successive victory raises Westfall one place up to sixth. In the coming weeks before Immortalis we’re sure “The Side Effect” would like to prove that he is world championship material as he prepares to face Adrian Flynn for the Infinity Championship.

7# Matt Rydell (-6)
After “Bad Boy” Brandon Kheller doubted Rydell’s victory on the second victory, Infinity’s first champion lost the belt after only two weeks against Neal Powers, proving the Bad Boy right. Rydell produced an admirable and entertaining promo but defeat in the main event means he slides down an astonishing six places. On September 2nd Rydell teams with one of his nemeses, Jordan Casanova, in Harmony action against Jason Smith and Kaos. Can Rydell’s heated past with Casanova result in a rise in the power rankings, or will he continue to slump?

8# Chris Michaels (Non-Mover)
“The Master of Execution” obtained victory for the first time in Infinity this Monday when he defeated Matt Young and Craig Anderson in a ladder match, but this week he doesn’t rise in the rankings despite earning a Singularis Championship match at Immortalis.

9# Blair Holmes (New Entry)
John Charismatic’s tag-team partner is a new entry this week after he and JC worked like a well-oiled unit in their DQ victory over Jordan Casanova and James Jameson. Over Rated on course for a pinfall of submission victory until Brian Von-Malice caused the disqualification. Blair’s first victory puts him in the top ten for the first time.

10# Jason Smith & Joey Tierney (New Entry)
Both men made their debuts at this week’s Infinity in a Tables but neither was able to secure an outright victory after both fell through the same table, at the same time! TCK announced that the match would end in a draw and both would advance onto Immortalis and would enter the Singularis Championship match. Smith produced a fantastic story and Tierney a well-imagined shoot promo which earn them a joint spot on our power rankings.

Falling out of the Power Rankings!

Lucian Shannon (previous, 4th)
The Shiner suffered defeat at the hands of Taylor Westfall, and missed out on a place in the Infinity Championship match. Lucian fought hard but his decline in the rankings is due to him not submitting a promo against Taylor Westfall.

James Jameson (previous, 9th)
Two defeats in a row send the television star spiralling out of the top ten this week. It’s not all doom and gloom for Jameson, the defeat this week was caused by disqualification and finds himself teaming with Chris Michaels on the next Infinity, the only way for the ratings draw is up, right?

Matt Young (previous, 10th)
“The One and Only” has produced very good promos against both Murray Muir and Chris Michaels, but has just fallen short against both. Young has impressed Infinity management with solid promos, showing immediate signs of improvement, and on September 2nd 2013 he faces Neal Powers in the main event for the Purity Championship!
