Infinity Power Rankings: Infinity #4 (23rd September 2013)

Every fortnight after the Infinity Monday show the power rankings of the top ten stars in Infinity will be posted here. The power rankings are based on a wrestler’s promo for the week, contributions to Infinity City, and of course the result of their match and the significance of the match they’re in.

#1 Murray Muir (+1)
Infinity’s resident rebel made great strides at Infinity #4 when he emerged victorious from the epic triple threat match involving himself, John Charismatic and Chris Michaels. Later on in the night Muir goaded Taylor Westfall into causing a no-contest in the brilliant match between TCK and Adrian Flynn. The purple-eyed wrestler and cult favourite has let Mr. Osman that he’s an immovable object in Infinity Wrestling.

2# Neal Powers (-1)
“The Influence” retained his Purity Championship against Craig Anderson at Infinity #4 but Neal didn’t get a single shot in against the young and hungry “Exception”. The victory came courtesy of Panik who hen the referee was momentarily knocked out, used the signature baseball bat of Powers against his own blood brother. Panik then framed Anderson as the perpetrator and won via Disqualification in the process. At Immortalis Neal defends the Purity Championship against both Craig Anderson and Matt Rydell.

3# Jamo (+1)
Jamo picked up a fourth straight victory after a Disqualification victory over Starkiss. The kiss-blowing wrestler didn't make it to the show following a suspension which meant Jamo was on course for a count-out victory until he was attacked by Joey Tierney. Nevertheless a fourth victory propels Jamo to his highest ever position on the top ten.

4# Adrian Flynn (-1)
Infinity’s superhero drops for a second consecutive power rankings due to Jamo’s fourth straight victory and because he was unable to defeat TCK is an unforgettable match. The man who faces Taylor Westfall at Immortalis founds himself on a scorching attack by his world title rival to cause a no-contest in his match with the Copycat.

5# Taylor Westfall (+4)
“The Side Effect” is this power rankings biggest mover, rising four places in the rankings after his victory of Matt Rydell at Infinity #4. Westfall was later goaded into attacking the duo of TCK and rival Adrian Flynn by Murray Muir and Taylor made his intentions known. Management might have already pegged Adrian as their choice for World Champion and he’ll do anything to prove the city wrong.

6# Chris Michaels (-1)
The standout favourite to win the Singularis Championship at Immortalis suffered a second defeat in Infinity Wrestling as Murray Muir prevailed in the epic triple threat. Michaels might not have been pinned but by the sheer admission that Chris was not victorious, he falls one place in these rankings.

7# Joey Tierney (New Entry)
Lucky number seven strikes again as another new entry enters at number seven. This week’s seventh place riser is Joey Tierney, who not only had his defeat against Starkiss and Jamo overturned due to Starkiss breaching his contract in Infinity Wrestling during Infinity #3, but he picked up a consolatory victory over Jason Smith. The rat king Smith was attacked by the mysterious attackers who have Jack Anderson all riled up and did not show, resulting in an easy victory for Tierney. “The Fusion” was not done there though, he brought the fight to Jamo later on in the night, stating his claim for the Singularis Championship at Immortalis.

8# Matt Rydell (-2)
“The New Dawn” didn’t have it all his way, to the dismay of the city, after he found himself on the wrong end of the V Club led by Taylor Westfall. The old rivals on the Bebo Wrestling Network (BWN) reignited their rivalry and it was Westfall was stood out victorious. This will surely act as a warning for Rydell, who will contend for the Purity Championship at Immortalis against reigning champion Neal Powers and Craig Anderson.

9# Over Rated (-1)
The duo of Blair Holmes and John Charismatic both suffered defeats at Infinity #4. Blair Holmes, despite a valiant effort, was defeated by Jordan Casanova, who picked up his first ever singles victory, whilst JC was the individual pinned by Murray Muir in the epic triple threat. With the question of their union up in their air, is TCK right? Is there no harmony between Over Rated? We will all find out at Immortalis when Over Rated do battle against Casanova and the debuting Joey Harding.

10# Craig Anderson (New Entry)
The newly dubbed “Exception” showed why he’s a class above the rest after taking Purity Champion Neal Powers to the limit at Infinity #4. Cheered on by his supportive wife, Jessica, Anderson was fingertips away from claiming the belt from his own, not allowing Powers a single piece of offense in the match, but was ultimately undone by Panik who hit Neal with Powers’s signature baseball bat and framed Anderson for the attack.

Falling out of the Power Rankings!

Starkiss (previous, 10th)
At Infinity #4 COO The Copycat Kid announced that Starkiss has been suspended for violations in his Infinity Wrestling contract and as a result did not appear to face rival Jamo in a rematch from Infinity #2. What it means for the rankings is that the kiss-blowing wrestler falls out of the rankings.

James Jameson (previous, 7th)
The Television star falls out of the rankings because he didn’t compete at Infinity #4. It’s not all bad news for Jameson, his wish came true when Casanova picked to team with him at Immortalis against Over Rated for the Harmony Championships.
