Infinity Power Rankings: Infinity #3 (2nd September 2013)

Every fortnight after the Infinity Monday show the power rankings of the top ten stars in Infinity will be posted here. The power rankings are based on a wrestler’s promo for the week, contributions to Infinity City, and of course the result of their match and the significance of the match they’re in.

#1 Neal Powers (+2)
“The Influence” won the Purity Championship at Infinity #2 defeating Matt Rydell and at Infinity #3 became the first wrestler to successfully defend a championship belt after defeating Matt Young in the main event. The Blood Family rises two places to top spot and next up for Powers is Craig Anderson in the main event of Infinity #4.

2# Murray Muir (+2)
Muir rises in the ranks up two second spot after an excellent promo and a solid performance as he and Jack Anderson defeated the debuting wrestlers Jett Underwood and Rick Bowman. The only thing left to know are Muir's plans for Immortalis.

3# Adrian Flynn (-2)
Due to the technicality of one of the number one contenders for the Infinity Championship not competing, Flynn drops two spots in the power rankings but will look to reclaim top spot at Infinity #4, but with Flynn not in a match, how will things transpire for the high school teacher?

4# Jamo (+1)
First “The Grimm Reaper” got a submission victory over Typhon “Kid Wicked” Kaos, and then this past Monday he made his second victim, debutant Starkiss, tap-out in a Singularis Championship qualifier to retain the use of his Cloverleaf Pain Submission, and thirdly this past Infinity Jamo scored another victory when he made Lucian Shannon tap out in a tag team match where the “Hardcore Icon” teamed with rival Starkiss. With a third straight win, Jamo rises yet another place in the rankings! Can anyone derail Jamo’s epic momentum? Starkiss has this opportunity at Infinity #4 when the two have a rematch from Infinity #2.

5# Chris Michaels (+3)
After a debut defeat against Adrian Flynn, “The Master of Execution” obtained victory for a second time in a row during Infinity on September 2nd Monday when he team with James Jameson defeating Over Rated. Michaels scored the victory over Charismatic after hitting the Legendary Kick to the Charismatic Coliseum owner.

6# Matt Rydell (+1)
As the lone promo writer in his tag team match Rydell secured victory for his volatile and unworkable team with Jordan Casanova, defeating Jason Smith and Typhon Kaos via DQ. The night didn’t go great for Rydell though, with the win coming at the expense of Rydell’s physical wellbeing following a brutal attack from Casanova and Brian Von-Malice.

7# James Jameson (New Entry)
Suffering two defeats in his first two bouts in Infinity, James Jameson finally rose to the occasion as he and wildcard pairing Chris Michaels defeated Over Rated in a fantastic tag team bout worthy of the Harmony division! Jameson climbs to his highest ranking in the power rankings so far.

8# Team Over Rated (-6 JC, +1 Holmes)
As the only official tag team in Infinity (the status of Jameson and Casanova as a team at the time of writing is still not ‘official), Over Rated suffered a clean loss this past Infinity after Charismatic was pinned after being finished with the Legendary Kick of Chris Michaels. Blair rises one place after an impressive promo to unite Over Rated on the power rankings, and they will look to soar up the rankings after Immortalis where they will battle for the Harmony Championship!

9# Taylor Westfall (-3)
Like with Immortalis opponent Adrian Flynn, Taylor Westfall did not make an appearance on Infinity #3 which means he drops down the rankings due to non-involvement. With Matt Rydell standing in his way at Infinity #4, can Westfall climb the table before his epic main event with Flynn for the Infinity Championship?

10# Starkiss (New Entry)
The kiss-loving wrestler makes his debut on the power rankings after he and Jamo were victorious over Joey Tierney and Lucian Shannon. At the finish of the match Starkiss had to watch Jamo apply the Cloverleaf submission on Lucian, a bitter pill to swallow. Starkiss left the Infinity fans confused after he refused to shake Jamo’s hand but blew a kiss his way instead. Can Starkiss be the first to defeat “The Grimm Reaper” at Infinity #4?

Falling out of the Power Rankings!

Jason Smith & Joey Tierney (previous, joint 10th)
After a draw on their debut in a Tables match both were positioned at the number ten spot for the second power rankings, however due to both men losing in their tag team matches they both fall out of the top ten. Tierney was unfortunate after Lucian Shannon failed to promo but made amends after staving off an attack on the night by Smith. The two will have a rematch on Infinity #4 in IWF’s first ever No Disqualification match!
