Every fortnight after the Infinity Monday show and PPV’s the power rankings of the top ten stars in Infinity will be posted here. The power rankings are based on a wrestler’s promo for the week, contributions to Infinity City, and of course the result of their match and the significance of the match they’re in.
#1 Adrian Flynn (+3)
He did
it. Infinity’s resident hero became the first ever Infinity World Champion with
victory over Taylor Westfall in the finals of the tournament. Adrian’s road to
the final was thwart with the most testing of opponents; Chris Michaels, Murray
Muir, and lastly at Immortalis, “The Side Effect” Taylor Westfall. Flynn beat
them all to be crowned the first world champion and now he is the symbol of the
city, carrying the championship of infinite possibilities. For these reasons
alone, and more, Adrian occupies top spot in this post Immortalis power
rankings.
2# Neal Powers (Non-Mover)
For a
third consecutive match “The Influence” retained his Purity Championship, and
topping off his victory for the big red shield all the way back at Infinity #2
against Matt Rydell, Neal has won all four matches in Infinity Wrestling, with
Immortalis proving to be no different. Squared up against the city’s favourite,
Matt Rydell, and the constantly improving Craig Anderson, Powers was up to his
old tricks again as Matt Rydell vanished at the close of the Purity match. With
the City left questioning Rydell’s whereabouts Powers capitalised on opportunity
to retain the title, even after Panik had forcefully been ejected from the ringside
area. If Neal wins his Purity Championship match at the next Infinity Wrestling
show, he has the option of cashing the championship in for a shot at Adrian
Flynn’s World Championship.
3# Chris Michaels (+3)
Little
did we all know but Chris Michaels was hiding a life threatening secret that
could have ended his life at Immortalis. Faced with Jamo and Joey Tierney in a
TLC match the match which was supposed to feature Jason Smith quickly turned to
chaos as the mystery attackers jumped Smith again, rendering his participation
in the match firmly over. Faced with the icon and the rock god, Michaels
overcame both in a fast and furious match but when Joey Tierney used his
favoured kendo sticks against the “Master of Execution” Chris seemingly
retriggered a state of concussion. In his last act Chris was able to climb the
ladder and retrieve the Singularis Championship to become its first holder, and
with a championship based around sacrifice we are left wondering, who paid the
bigger sacrifice? Chris’s title win ensures that he is Infinity’s first
Singularity, a man who defies all for the sake of the silver of Singularis.
4# Joey Harding (New Entry)
Making
his debut at Immortalis the man who doesn’t do TV, Joey Harding was the main
figurehead in his team Harmony Championship victory over the absent duo of Over
Rated. On the night (well technically a week before) Harding produced a
spectacular promo that meant he and his tag team partner Jordan Casanova became
the first Harmony Champion. After TCK called a count-out against Over Rated
Harding and his Fair City Hooligan attacked the COO in order to reveal the
belts themselves but were left bemused as there was only one Harmony
Championship. One belt to signify the ultimate union of two fellow wrestlers.
Harding’s place at number four is well deserved, though he would have liked his
opposition to have been a lot more ‘in the flesh’.
5# Murray Muir (-4)
Pitted
against TCK by the BZN President Mr. Osman, Murray Muir lost to the Copycat in
an all-out fight across Evermore Stadium. Murray produced an amazing promo for
the show but was ultimately undone against a foe who acted like Murray and
essentially became Murray. Despite this loss Murray is still the top rated
wrestler without a championship and can take away that TCK showed loyalty to
his fellow roster and not the BZN President.
6# Jamo (-3)
“The
Grimm Reaper” finally has a big ‘L’ against his impressive record after he
failed to win the TLC match for the Singularis Championship. Jamo gave the
fight of his life but was tangled in the main ladder in play via Joey Tierney’s
kendo sticks. Jamo’s true class shone through after the match when he helped an
unconscious Chris Michaels into an ambulance. Jamo may not have been crowned
champion, but he really is a true champion. An icon that Infinity City can
eternally be proud of.
7# TCK (New Entry)
Lucky
number seven strikes again with another new entry, this time Infinity’s COO TCK
made his way onto the top ten after a victory over Murray Muir at Immortalis.
In a show of defiance against BZN President Mr. Osman, TCK showed the world
that Murray was his symbol of Infinity and has a place in the company. TCK
produced an amazing promo against Murray, one of, if not the top talent on the
entire roster.
8# A.C. Mack (New Entry)
In a
match ‘Under the Dome’, Roderick Blackmore and number eight’s new entry A.C.
Mack showed the City how to debut in style. Faced up against Roderick’s unbreakable
silver chromed gauntlet, in the dome of Blackmore’s creation, movie star Mack
proved his Macknifience after two years away from the game with victory over
Infinity’s Chairman. Not only did A.C. Mack eventually prosper, though his
shattered face tells another story, Mack also revealed the Infinity World
Championship, making Roderick look on at the immortalising moment in the latest
of his most sinister creations.
9# Matt Rydell (-1)
#FuckRydell,
the first number one on these power rankings, is holding onto his place in the
top ten with dear life. With his current whereabouts unknown after his
mysterious vanishing at Immortalis, Rydell was unable to reclaim his title from
the grasp of the Blood Family. Rydell drops down one place but remains in the
top ten due to a very good shoot style promo.
10# Taylor Westfall (-5)
On the
verge of becoming Infinity World Champion so many times in his title match
against Adrian Flynn, this week’ tenth place is reserved for the man who was
close to become champion himself. Dropping down five spots Taylor produced an
admirable and very personal promo but was inevitably undone against the DDT
heard around the world. Word is Taylor will continue to look into the
conspiracy surrounding Adrian Flynn becoming a ‘corporate champion’, will that
be needed to pull “The Side Effect” up in the rankings? We hope so.

Falling out of the Power Rankings!
Joey
Tierney (previous, 7th)
Infinity’s
rock star, Joey Tierney, was the show stealer in the Singularis Championship
match but moments away from victory was thrown out of the ring by a desperate
and unknowing Chris Michaels. Joey sacrificed his full time contract with
Infinity Wrestling and will re-enter contract negotiations with the Infinity
Wrestling Federation. Joey may have dropped out, but his inclusion at this
bottom section will act purely as testament to his improvements and prior
victories leading up to Immortalis.
Over Rated (previous, 9th)
The Dirtsheet will be left reeling after their in-depth
article at Over Rated may never be solved. JC and Blair, commonly known as Over
Rated didn’t show at Immortalis and have since been removed as an active tag
team on the Infinity website. Is this a sign they’ve broken up for good? Will
we see either back in Infinity? Either way, mystery surrounds Over Rated but as
Harding and Casanova picked up the single blue strap Over Rated fall out of the
running for this power rankings.
C. Anderson
(previous, 10th)
Producing a classy and strong shoot style promo, Craig
Anderson’s efforts eventually lost out on this occasion to Neal Powers, leaving
Anderson with a four match losing streak. We’re hoping Craig gets his big break
soon, he deserves it for his vast improvements in Infinity as a writer and
competitor. He’s to the future, and the now, and a birthday boy this coming
week!
