Every
fortnight after the Infinity Monday show the power rankings of the top ten
stars in Infinity will be posted here. The power rankings are based on a
wrestler’s promo for the week, contributions to Infinity City, and of course
the result of their match and the significance of the match they’re in.
The first power rankings are based on the results from the 1st Infinity Monday broadcast that took place on August 5th 2013.
#1 Matt Rydell
Top spot goes to the new Purity Champion, Matt Rydell,
who bested James Jameson and Jordan Casanova to become Infinity’s 1st
champion. After tapping out in the match, Rydell was spared defeat after the
official was distracted by Casanova’s manager Brian Von-Malice. Eventually
Rydell proved why he is an ultimate opportunist by scoring the pinfall over Casanova,
and now is the first to hold the big red shield of Infinity.
2# Adrian Flynn
In TCK’s match of the week Adrian Flynn vectored in an
amazing match against Chris Michaels to claim a place in the semi-finals of the
world title tournament. Many wrestlers and fans favoured Michaels in the bout
but Flynn silenced critics after producing the best promo for the show.
3# Murray Muir
Murray sits high on the power rankings after an
excellent promo and a victory over Matt Young in the world title tournament.
Muir’s arrogant, self-absorbed attitude has been noticed, and according to a
new poll on the Infinity website, he is the outright favourite to win the
championship tournament. Now Murray faces Adrian Flynn in the semi-final, so
there is a lot of pressure on Murray to continue his excellent form.
4# Lucian Shannon
In an interesting match with Craig Anderson, with many
believing that the match could have swung either way, Lucian prevailed in a
tight contest and now finds himself in the semi-final of the world title
tournament and is only one match away from the final and a place headlining the
first PPV, Immortalis.
5# John Charismatic
Team Over Rated
proved that there is harmony in their ranks after Blair Holmes laid down for JC
to get a simple victory. It wasn’t all good for JC on the show, he isn’t over
with the fans and is testing the patience of COO, The Copycat Kid.
6# Jamo
“The Grimm Reaper” secured a submission victory over
Typhon “Kid Wicked” Kaos on the 1st Infinity and extended his legacy
as a wrestling in professional wrestling.
7# Taylor Westfall
Westfall begins his stint in the power rankings at lucky
number seven due to the manner of his victory over Jack Anderson. After
Anderson no-showed the event, for reasons unknown to Infinity management,
Westfall didn’t wrestle but due to progressing into the semi-finals, albeit by
technicality, Westfall and his V Club begin life in Infinity with a victory.
8# Chris Michaels
Despite a losing effort against Adrian Flynn, “The
Master of Execution” had match of the night against Flynn and produced one of
the best promos of the week. He’d be higher if it wasn’t for losing, which is
why Michaels lingers near the bottom of the charts.
9# James Jameson
In the main event James Jameson proved why he is a
ratings draw despite being unsuccessful in capturing the Purity Championship.
As “Mr. Media” wasn’t pinned or submitted in the main event he just about makes
the cut for the first power ten.
10# Matt Young
With little expectation on Matt Young to progress in
the World Heavyweight Championship tournament he put up a valiant fight against Murray Muir and pushed the
bad-boy to his limits, resorting to Muir using a FuckYou branded knuckleduster
to overcome “The Flying Angel.” Young just makes the cut this week for the
performance in his promo and making a definite impression that he’s not here to
play second fiddle to anybody.
